    My Father’s brother. William Wilson. 3/7508. 12th. Bn. Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The Battle of Vardar.
    May5th.-!9th. Main Fighting took place around Lake Dorian. Date of Death. May 9th. 1917. aged 19yrs. Unknown Grave.

    Name inscribed on Dorian Memorial, a place of Commemoration for more than 2000 Commonwealth servicemen whose graves are not known. His name is on a plaque in Lochore Institute. Also Stirling Castle, and Edinburgh Castle. If my 83 & 3/4 yrs memory, still serves me well. From Oct. 1915 to Nov. 1918. There were 2800 died in action. 1400 died from sustained wounds, and 4200 deaths from sickness.
